How I Can Help
Do you find yourself caught up in negative thinking? Like your mind is working against you? Is it tough to turn off damaging self-talk and self-blame? This perpetual self-punishment can give rise to and worsen already challenging conditions like depression and anxiety, as well as sustain the effects of trauma. Wouldn’t it be a relief to break these patterns of unhelpful thinking? To improve self-esteem? To feel confident and worthy of engaging with others? I can help.
About Me
_____
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master's in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
I was formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy by the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. I have experience in crisis counseling at a suicide prevention center as well as supervision experience at a teen crisis line. I currently work providing clinical services to military veterans struggling with mental health and substance abuse, and was invited on Good Day LA to discuss the importance of trauma-informed care.
